Player Renewal Process

As I'm sure you are aware, the COVID-19 pandemic has created a unique and fluid situation for all of our PTFC Family.  We truly appreciate your patience and flexibility as we try to navigate through these uncertain times.

As we begin to proceed towards the 2020/21 season we want you all to understand that we have a plan to begin formulating our PTFC teams.  This plan will be called our Player Renewal Process.  The Player Renewal Process is a way for us to begin creating our teams for the upcoming season by allowing current PTFC players to renew their membership with the club by accepting a position on their current or higher level team.  This process was designed with our families in mind to be a fair, safe and sensitive to our PTFC families while we all work to get through this unique time.  Details of this process are below.  

Player Renewal Process / 2020-2021 Tryout Process

1) All PTFC players will be offered a position on a roster of equal or higher-level beginning Wednesday, May 27th. Coaches evaluations and past performance in consultation with DOCs will be the basis for placement. If a player desires to tryout for a higher-level team that opportunity will be made available to them at a later date.

2) An Intent to Play deposit of $100 will be needed to secure your position for the upcoming season. Payment should be made within 7 days of being offered a position. The deposit will be deducted from your annual team fees. This effectively eliminates the tryout fee, and reduces the initial payment we have had in the past. This is an effort to make it easier financially for you to secure a roster position without undue financial hardship. If you are applying for Financial assistance this payment will become the FA application deposit.

3) The Tryout Process will begin (provided restrictions have been lifted) the week of June 15.  All players wishing to move up to higher level teams will be given an opportunity to prove their abilities warrant the change.  A second round of player assessments will be scheduled during the fall season with a date to be determined.

4) Monthly payment installments will begin in July.
