99 PTFC Lady Black Win Bracket in Top Showcase Group at 2015 WAGS Tournament

Washington, D.C. – The PTFC 99 Lady Black team won their bracket in the top Showcase group of the 2015 WAGS Tournament over the Columbus Day weekend.  The team finished 2-0-1 over the three-day event and competed against some of the best girls teams in the country.  Their results from the three games are listed below.

Saturday, October 10th:

99 Lady Black – 3; Storm SA (Georgia) – 0

Sunday, October 11th:

99 Lady Black – 2; East Islip SC (New York) – 2

Monday, October 12th:

99 Lady Black – 2; Arundel Premier (Maryland) – 1

“I am so proud of my team for a great showing at WAGS,” said Head Coach Brandi Fontaine.  “We played with heart and passion, and the grit and fight that this team is made of was put on display.  We showed tremendous growth throughout the tournament and our success was a total team effort.”

The WAGS Tournament was established in 1975 by the Washington Area Girls Soccer League and is one of the most highly regarded youth girls’ tournaments in the country.
