The '99 Lady Black team once again competed at the Regional III Championships, this year held in Greenville, SC. The group displayed great character to bounce back from an opening day loss and still advance out of group play and into the quarterfinal match.

This was the '99 Lady Black's third consecutive trip to the Region III Championships, winning the NCYSA State Cup title last fall. Coach Brandi Fontaine was pleased with the girls' effort throughout the week in SC. "The quarterfinal match was a tough battle against a very good Florida Krush team. I was extremely proud of how hard they fought and battled until the last second. I loved how much of a stronger team we became as the week went on. The girls have made it to the quarterfinals for three straight years and I am proud of how they have represented our club."

Entering this Fall 2016 season, the girls have high hopes of earning the right to compete at the Region III Championships again. "The girls are determined to start preparing for another return," according to Coach Fontaine. "I am extremely thankful for all the support we received from our families and our club. It was so nice to see messages from other kids and parents from within the club. We hope to make an even bigger return next year!"
